Fat Joe is not as active in the studio as he once was. But he has remained relevant due to his ability to captivate audiences with his stories from his past life. But oftentimes, Joe has a tendency to let his imagination run wild. Legendary music executive, Lance “UN” Rivera, is the latest person to call out the Terror Squad leader for his creative storytelling.
Un Rivera Calls Cap on Biggie & Fat Joe’s Collab Album
Joe Now has the platform to put his storytelling on full display on his and Jadakiss’s new podcast, Joe and Jada. And during a recent episode, Joe revealed that he and late rap legend, Biggie Smalls, recorded an unreleased EP together back when he was still alive.
However, UN, who was a close associate and the former business partner of the late rap star, says that he is calling cap on that story.
“I love Fat Joe, Fat Joe is my guy. I love the Jada & Joe show, and now I know why they’re running with the ‘Joe is the King of Cap,'” Rivera said during a recent interview with Art of Dialogue. “Imma call cap, without even knowing, ’cause I don’t know for sure, but I’m calling cap […] If there was a real, legitimate album, I would’ve heard about that. I wouldn’t have heard about them doing songs.”
UN also says that if the collaboration had taken place, the EP would not have been a secret. Because people in Biggie’s inner circle were kept in the loop about the music he created.
“I wouldn’t have heard about them doing songs together, because if B.I.G.’s going to the studio, you could get a verse or you might not get a verse, depending on his mood and how much money you had in your pocket,” he added. “You know what I’m saying? Because he was a, ‘how much weed you got on you’ type, you know what I’m saying? But I call a cap on Fat Joe. Show me the receipts.”
