Latto is back in album mode. The Atlanta rap artist began the rollout for her next release, Big Mama. And she dropped off her first single off the new project, Business & Personal (Intro).
Latto Appears to Address Drake Rumors on New Track
On one part of the track, Latto appears to address the rumors that Drake ghostwrites some of her tracks. A narrative that has run rampant for years. In her response, Latto doesn’t hold back on her critics. And calls the rumor a “compliment.”
“I done made more honey buns than that h*e Lil Debbie. Call me Big Mama, like a fat b***h. Oh, they think Crodie wrote it; that’s a compliment. I brush my teeth twice, ’cause I be talking s**t. Like f**k a hater red light barely stopping this,” she raps on the track (via Kurrco/x)
Of course, the clip went viral on social media, and fans went crazy with their reactions.
“Cuz both of they verse be sounding stale as hell. Like a white person doin’ their best black voice,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Latto said if you think Drake wrote it, that’s a compliment. The confidence is unmatched,” a second user added.
Another user said, “It’s definitely good if people think that someone with the pedigree of Drake wrote it.”

Drake and Latto only have one official collaboration. The Atlanta artist was featured on Housekeeping Knows. A track from Drake’s 100 Gigs data dump. A collection of unreleased tracks that hit streaming services. The track, which samples the hit “Ridin a Stick” by Miami’s DJ T-Time, peaked at No. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Latto’s new project, Big Mama, arrives on May 29th. After her last project, Sugar Honey Iced Tea had a strong showing on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at number 15. It will be interesting to see if she can deliver again.
