Following the release of his upcoming project ‘The Leak$’, Lil Baby is keeping the momentum going by announcing another full-length album is on the way. The Atlanta superstar confirmed the news during a recent livestream with PlaqueBoyMax and Veeze, revealing that he plans to drop his next album just four weeks after ‘The Leak$’ arrives on August 15th.
This new project, which fans are speculating could be the long-teased Dominique LP, will mark Lil Baby’s third album of the year, following his January release, WHAM, and the upcoming The Leak$. The rapper explained that The Leak$ was a direct response to a number of his unreleased tracks making their way online. Rather than letting the leaks go to waste, he decided to “create a whole album around it.” He noted that the leaked versions are often not the final cuts, but he chose to embrace the situation and give the fans a project based on the material they’d already heard.
However, the real surprise came when he revealed he’s dropping a second album on the heels of ‘The Leak$’. This is where the hype for Dominique comes in. Back in January, around the release of WHAM, Lil Baby told Complex that his next project would be “the more emotional and more vulnerable side I never really gave my fans.” While he initially teased a February release for the self-titled album, it was reportedly delayed due to a number of factors, including murder accusations tied to one of his music video shoots. With the release of The Leak$ imminent, fans are now speculating that the album to follow will indeed be the more personal Dominique.
This ambitious back-to-back album strategy highlights Lil Baby’s position as a dominant force in hip-hop. He’s not only reclaiming his leaked material in a creative way, but he’s also delivering on a promise to give fans the more introspective project they’ve been waiting for. With two albums arriving in quick succession, Lil Baby is setting himself up for a massive second half of 2025.
