Details continue to pour in about an altercation between rap artists Offset and Lil Tjay that led to the former Migos star being hospitalized.
Police Say Lil Tjay Instigated Fight That Led to Offset Shooting
According to a Tuesday (April 7) report from TMZ, Lil Tjay was the catalyst of a fight that led to the Atlanta native being shot by one of his associates on Monday (April 6).
Per the outlet, the Run It Up creator “directed members of his party to start a fight with another group of males” outside of the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Where the incident took place.
Seminole Police say that amid the melee, one of Tjay’s associates pulled out a gun and shot Offset, requiring him to receive medical attention.
The police also have video of the entire incident on camera. And says that footage shows Lil Tjay hopping out of his vehicle and pointing out Offset. He then directs his crew to ambush the Migos rapper. The video footage also indicates that Lil Tjay may have recorded the incident unfolding on his cell phone.
Lil Tjay was not charged with direct involvement in the shooting. But he was booked on charges of a traffic violation and disorderly conduct. He posted bond and was released from Seminole Police custody on Tuesday afternoon. Following his release, the Bronx drill rapper gave reporters his recollection of how things unfolded between him and Offset.
“The last thing I saw was the n***a Offset looking at me like this ‘yo that n***a shot me. That n***a shot me. At the time of writing, no one has officially been charged with shooting Offset.
