Lil Tjay set the record straight on his relationship with Offset in the aftermath of their fallout in Florida.
While out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, April 29, the Bronx rapper was asked where things stand between him and the former Migos star after their recent casino altercation.
“I ain’t got no beef with nobody,” Tjay said before quickly shifting focus to what’s next — his new music. He also teased that fans should expect some “controversial” moments on the upcoming project.
The statement marks a noticeable shift in tone after the highly publicized incident earlier this month outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida. Authorities allege the confrontation escalated into a physical fight involving both entourages, with one person pulling out a weapon during the chaos. Offset was reportedly injured in the leg.
Lil Tjay and another individual were arrested following the incident, though neither was charged in connection to the shooting itself. Since then, federal investigators have stepped in and released images of additional people believed to be involved.
Tjay has continued to deny any role in the shooting and has remained tight-lipped about the ongoing investigation. In a recent interview, he said he’s been advised not to speak too much on the matter.
Now, his attention appears to be fully on music. His first independent project, They Just Ain’t You, arrives May 1 — and if his latest comments are any indication, he plans to let the album do most of the talking.
