Lil Wayne Announces Nationwide Tour
Ahead of his forthcoming album, the Louisiana rap star announced a tour to accompany the new project via social media on Tuesday.
“Just Announced! Tha Carter VI Tour: Built on 20+ years of Carter Classics. Head to http://lilwayneofficial.com to register for first access to presale tickets,” the rap star posted on X, formerly known as Twitter on June 3.
The tour will feature 36 dates. It will kick off in New York City on June 6 and conclude on October 2nd in Palm Beach, Florida. He will also be joined on the tour by former Young Money artist Tyga as well as No Cap and Belly Gang Kushington.
Following the announcement, fans went off on social media.
“Lil Wayne is starting his tour the day he drops his album? Now that’s some GOAT s**t right there bro,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Need all of the original The Carter and Mannie Fresh on the tour,” another user added.
“The way Y’ALL carried on and was faux outraged about him not performing the Superbowl EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE SEATS better be sold and filled,” another user said.
Lil Wayne has not dropped an album since 2023 when he dropped The Fix Before The IV. Which was a prelude to his upcoming album. But some fans are now skeptical about whether the album is even coming this year. With just three days to go before release day, Wayne has not dropped a single, hinted at any feature, or even dropped a tracklist.
As one of Hip-Hop’s GOATs, Wayne has one of the most extensive fan bases in the industry. However, many of them are beginning to grow impatient.
