Lil Wayne has had an eventful year, spending a lot of time revealing personal details and never heard before stories on podcasts.
This week, on his podcast with Craig Carton, Wayne explained why the iconic Young Money logo had a major overhaul.
“I had a ‘YM.’ They thought it looked too much like the Yankees,” Wayne said. “They just sent cease and [desist]. I had to stop using it… I just changed my logo. They’re legends. I respected it. I felt more cooler getting a letter from the Yankees.”
He says he doesn’t hold anything against the Yanks for serving him, but it was an interesting experience.
Elsewhere, Wayne’s Packers went down to the Minnesota Vikings in an improbable collapse that had Wayne claiming ref ball.
“Refs in Minnesota game pure p***y,” Wayne ranted. “Fake af I can’t respect the game when the refs can’t ref the game. I’m out on the NFL this year. Wish for it to be an amazing season for all. My Dik too big for short comings and this sux.”
Wayne also eulogized Hockey commentator godfather Barry Melrose, who sadly passed away last week.
“Just saw the news abt the Legend Barry Melrose and I literally can’t stop the fkn tears rn and I be damn if I try to, you’re worth them all sir may you rest peacefully and may God bless your family and friends with your memories forever. Bucci, Levy, Ms Linda, my condolences,” Wayne posted.
