The initial reactions to Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Tha Carter 6 album were underwhelming. And honestly, that’s being generous. However, amid the backlash, Wayne has begun to unleash a series of tracks featuring better artists.

Lil Wayne Drops New Track With Future & Lil Baby
In his latest shock drop on Thursday, June 12, the Grammy winner taps Atlanta artists Future and Lil Baby. The track, “Momma Don’t Worry,” had fans on social media wondering why it was not on the album.
“This s**t fire. If this was on the album, it would have been even better,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah, Wayne has still been Wayne when Wayne was Wayne. He is still HIM,” another fan added.
But as usual, the reviews were mixed. Some fans remained unimpressed by Wayne’s latest drop.
“Who the f**k advised Lil Wayne to release music like this?” another user asked.
Other fans also accused the New Orleans native of incorporating AI tracks in his new song.
This is the second consecutive day that Wayne has dropped an unexpected track for the fans. On Wednesday, June 11 he dropped the sequel to his “Banned From NO” track. One that featured former Young Money princess Nicki Minaj.
And on the song the “Pink Friday” creator appears to take shots at Jay-Z.
“They know I don’t decline so they never face-card her(Carter). French Vanilla hazelnut in my Starbucks, NFL, fire some n****s, and then call us”
The bar appeared to be aimed at the “Black Album” creator. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label has a partnership with the NFL. As part of that partnership, they choose the halftime performer for each year’s Super Bowl. However, this year Kendrick Lamar was selected as the performer, despite the event taking place in Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jay-Z has yet to respond to Minaj’s remarks.
