Ol Dirty Bastard stories have stood the test of time. Now, LL Cool J is throwing out another tale about the legendary Wu-Tang Clan rapper.
What Did ODB Do?
On Thursday (July 10th), LL Cool J spoke on the late legend, and a particular time their worlds collided.
LL’s former manager the late Chris Lighty called up the Grammy-winning rapper in a panic.
“He’s like, ‘Yo, you got to come down here. You got to come to Chung King Studios. For some reason, Ol’ Dirty Bastard just came here, broke all your plaques, and pissed on them,” LL recalled Lighty saying. “I said, ‘What’d I do?’ I didn’t even understand it. I couldn’t understand it,” he said. “Loved [ODB] ever since.”
LL’s recollection is the first time he’s told the story publicly. However, before his death, Lighty spoke on the matter giving more context. According to Lighty, ODB pulled up to the studio inebriated and studio staff refused to allow him to record. Naturally, this frustrated the legend, so, he retaliated by pulling LL’s plaques off the wall and urinating on them before being escorted out.
Though Lighty sounded mortified, LL found the incident amusing, reflecting on the unbridled and unhinged energy of ODB.

What Else Is Going On With LL?
Other than hosting his Rock The Bells show, LL saw some of his albums disappear from streaming. LL’s 1985 debut Radio, his 1987 follow up Bigger and Deffer, and 1989’s Walking with a Panther, are not streaming.
However, the most significant omission is his seminal 1990 album, Mama Said Knock You Out, his most critically successful album. The title track is still available to stream.
LL has not commented on taking his albums off streaming.
Dame Dash also claimed JAY-Z beat LL in a rap battle so bad one time, that LL made a full record of diss tracks aimed at him. However, at the last second, he decided to pull back and leave them in the vault.
