One thing you can’t accuse Brooklyn rap artist Maino of is ducking smoke in the booth. He hasn’t pulled any punches lately. And that smoke has now also been extended to a select group of podcasters.
Maino Targets Podcaster on New Diss Track
On Monday (March 16), Maino dropped a new song, titled, The Algorithm. He put a slew of hip-hop media personalities on blast. Assumedly because of their commentary during his ongoing feud with rap artist 50 Cent.
Among the personalities he mentions are Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, Wack 100, and Adam 22.
“Where these boys at, bet they harmless / That ain’t disrespect, they say it’s content,” he raps on the track after name dropping them.
You can listen to the full song below:
The catalyst for Maino’s new diss track was his new song “Bleed Like Us,” where he hits back at 50 Cent.
“They bleed just like us. N***a, we don’t believe you. You’re gonna have to prove it; you need more people. N****s bleed just like us. Boo Boo, you’re just a joke. Enough of this trolling s**t, I want the smoke,” he raps on the track.
50 took issue with the podcast crew of the Let’s Rap About it podcast earlier this year. After their negative commentary about his Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
Since then, 50 has taken random shots at Maino, Fabolous, Jim Jones, and Dave East. However, Maino has appeared to be the most willing to engage in the back and forth.
Following the release of his new song, Maino apparently hasn’t appreciated the responses from the top voices in hip-hop.
