50 Cent and Max B recently dropped off a new single, “No More Tricks, No More Tries. A track that aims at the Let’s Rap About It podcast crew, which consists of Jim Jones, Fabolous, Maino, and Dave East.
Maino Responds to 50 Cent’s New Diss Track
On Tuesday (March 11), 50 dropped off a video for the new song. And Maino, one of the co-hosts of the podcast, didn’t seem to be too impressed with 50 Cent’s rebuttal.
“[50 Cent] goddamn! You made us wait four months for this? Let the games begin, p***y,” the All The Above creator captioned the social media post.
At the beginning of the video, 50 Cent raps the lyrics f**k you and includes pictures of Maino and Fabolous, appearing to be talking directly to the rap artists. Shortly after, the camera pans to Max B, who also says “f**k you” to the camera, and shortly after, a photo of Jim Jones appears.
Jim Jones and Max B have had a long-standing feud dating back to the early 2000s. After Max B left Jones’ Byrd Gang music label over a money dispute. But things really escalated after Max dropped the song “Touched it in Miami,” a diss track where he insinuated that he had slept with Jim Jones’ long-time girlfriend and current fiancée, Chrissy Lampkin.
As for why 50 is beefing with the rest of the Let’s Rap About it Crew? Well, of course, it has to do with Diddy. Last year, the podcast crew discussed the release of 50’s new Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. And many of them took issue with 50 releasing the documentary during a low point in Diddy’s life. Ever since then, 50 Cent has had free smoke for the quartet of rap artists.
