The saga involving Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty has taken the rap industry by storm. And Maino is the latest person to weigh in.
Maino Believes Keyshia Ka’oir Made Gucci Turn Informant
According to court documents that surfaced online, Gucci Mane allegedly served as an informant who helped the feds arrest Pooh Shiesty earlier this month. The allegations have led to a lot of backlash for the rapper. But Maino doesn’t believe that Gucci Mane acted on his own merit. During a recent episode of the Let’s Rap About It podcast, Maino says he believes that Gucci’s wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, forced him to cooperate with authorities.
“But, I started to analyze it, and I looked at Gucci’s wife. And, I said, ‘Oh sh*t. She runs sh*t.’ So, then, I thought about the conversation they had when he got back home and got off the plane,” Maino explained in a clip shared by TheChat101 on X. “She said, ‘M*****f***er, you ain’t no street n***a no more. You’re a businessman. That’s what I believe happened.”

Earlier this month, Pooh Shiesty was one of several men who were swooped up by the feds over their alleged connection to an armed robbery that took place in Dallas this past January. Shiesty allegedly rounded up a group of men to hold Gucci Mane at gunpoint. And coerce him into signing paperwork that released him from his deal with 1017 Brick Squad.
The feds also allege that, in addition to the coercion, Shiesty and his crew robbed other victims of Rolex watches and other expensive jewelry. Including Gucci Mane’s wedding ring.
It should be noted that the feds have not officially named Gucci Mane as the victim nor an informant. However, court documents indicate that someone with the initials “RD” assisted them in identifying Pooh Shiesty and Big30. “RD” of course are the initials of Gucci Mane’s birthname, Radric Davis.
At the time of writing, Gucci Mane nor Keisha Ka’oir has responded to Maino’s comments.
