Drake’s influence is undeniable. The rollout for his ninth studio album, Iceman, is proof of that. Amid the rollout for his ninth studio album, Iceman, major brands have been inspired by and copied it.

Brands Are Copycatting Drake’s ‘Iceman’ Rollout

With fans clamoring for the release date of the new project, Drake hid the release date inside a gargantuan Ice Sculpture in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. However, the Toronto fire chief ultimately called for the sculpture to be melted down because of safety reasons. But all that did was create even more buzz for the upcoming project.

While they were unable to recreate the physical structure, major brands like Coors Light, Chiquita, and the NFL’s New York Giants have copied the imagery for marketing purposes with the help of artificial intelligence.

Even after many people declared that Drake was done after his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar, he is proving that he is still one of the top tastemakers in the rap industry. Especially during this rollout.

During a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, radio host Charlamagne the God praised Dr.

The reason I love it is that nobody does rollouts anymore. Everybody thinks they’re f***ing Beyoncé from ten years ago, and they can just drop, drop, drop. Nah, do a motherf***ing rollout,” he said in a clip caught by ZADCOZZY on X.

Charlamagne also called out the people who have been critical of Drake’s rollout. But he felt that having a good rollout was necessary for Drake. Before he “can’t afford” to not put up crazy numbers with the upcoming drop.

“The funny thing is, I see people on social media saying, ‘Man, f**k all these gimmicks and these antics. Just drop the motherf***ing music.’ No! There used to be a time when people used to build things up. They would do proper rollouts. The reality is, Drake can’t afford – he’s not gon’ flop. But he can’t afford anything less than crazy, crazy numbers because of the social media narratives that’s gon’ happen if he doesn’t”
