Mase didn’t hold back when Megan thee Stallion’s split from Klay Thompson came up during a recent episode of ‘It Is What It Is’.
But rather than focus on the alleged cheating claims, the rapper-turned-podcaster questioned why the relationship was taken seriously in the first place — and suggested its downfall was practically guaranteed because of Megan’s dating history.
“What was she expecting?” Mase asked, before claiming the Houston rapper’s reputation had already set the tone for how the relationship would end.
He went even further, implying that because of who she’s dated in the past, she was never the kind of woman someone like Thompson should consider marrying.
That’s when Cam’ron joined in, rattling off names like Pardison Fontaine, Moneybagg Yo, and NBA player Torrey Craig before Mase delivered his blunt conclusion: “And he was supposed to marry her? No.”

The comments quickly sparked backlash online, with many calling the segment misogynistic and unnecessarily disrespectful — especially considering Megan had publicly accused Thompson of cheating and emotional mistreatment.
On April 25, Megan Thee Stallion revealed on Instagram Stories that she ended the relationship after standing by him through what she described as “horrible mood swings” during basketball season, only for him to admit he wasn’t sure he could remain monogamous.
Thompson has not publicly addressed the allegations.
