If you have closely followed Jim Jones‘ career, then you know that the famed Diplomats member is no stranger to controversy. He has feuded with some of the biggest artists in the game, including Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Cam’ron. But undoubtedly, his most bitter rival is one-time rap star Max B, who rose to fame via the underground rap scene in New York City in the early 2000s.
Max B Wants to Squash Beef With Jim Jones
In 2009, Max was sentenced to 75 years in prison for felony murder, armed robbery, and other related charges stemming from a 2006 robbery in New Jersey. But there is optimism that he could be released soon. When that day does come, Max B says he is hopeful that he and Jim Jones can reconcile.
“Listen, Jim said a bunch of hard sh*t about me. So, we all say hard sh*t about each other, okay?” he said, per Complex. “Jim done wished me dead, all type of sh*t. It’s all good. Listen, man. It’s love, man. I want to start over. I’m a new man. I’m a married man. I got four kids.”
He also added:
“Like, I’m on a whole different time right now, my n***a I’m out here to get my money and ride out the sunset with this sh*t,” he continued. “It’s in there for me, though. I’m going to tell you that. So that’s the goal.”
Max B and Jim Jones became bitter rivals as two of the top artists in NYC, feuding for the number one spot. Things really got negative when Max B dropped his song Touched It in Miami, which alleged that he slept with Jim’s girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin, during a trip to Miami.
Whether or not Jim will squash his beef with Max remains to be seen. But history will tell you it’s not likely. As Jim has a reputation for not letting anything slide.
