Megan Thee Stallion has broken her silence after being rushed to the hospital on Tuesday Night (March 31).
Meg Thee Stallion Speaks Out After Hospitalization
Megan was in New York City to perform her role as Zidler in the Broadway play Moulin Rouge! The Musical. And was pulled off the stage mid-performance after falling ill. With her fans awaiting an update on her condition, the Traumazine creator broke her silence on social media.
In her statement, she said that she had recently been “pushing herself past her limit” and her “body finally said enough.”
The rap star also said that the situation “scared” her and she thought that she would “faint on stage” prior to being pulled from the show.
She said that she would be using the next day to “rest, reset, and take care” of herself. She also says she plans to return to the stage on Thursday (April 2).
“I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything,” she concluded.
Megan doesn’t go into detail about exactly what happened. However, one of her reps told Variety that she had been taken to a local hospital after experiencing “concerning symptoms.”
“On Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms,” the rep said to the outlet. “Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged, and is now resting.
The rap star is set to perform on Broadway until May 17. Wishing her a speedy recovery.
