In a message to her social media account on Monday (April 27), she expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew members. And says she had a newfound respect for the work that they put into their craft.
“It’s been such an honor to be part of the Moulin Rouge family, and I’ve met so many amazing people in this theater!” she wrote in the social media post. “Y’all work so hard, and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time, and the effort y’all put into the work! I’m so grateful for the cast and crew that made this experience so meaningful.”
She also thanked the fans who came out to support her performances.
“And to all the Hotties that showed up or planned to attend, thank you for supporting me during this incredible journey! I LOVE YALL🥹 See you soon,” she added.
The Grammy-winner was slated to appear in the Broadway play until May 17. But it appears that in light of recent events, she has chosen to cut her stint short.
Over the weekend, Megan announced her split from Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Klay Thompson. The rap star alleged that it was Thompson’s infidelity that led to their breakup. After she made the announcement, she still performed in the musical on Saturday night, but was noticeably overcome with emotion, likely related to their breakup.
