Megan Thee Stallion has officially won her defamation civil suit against blogger Milagro Gramz, marking a major legal victory five years after she was shot by R&B artist Tory Lanez.
A Florida federal jury ruled in Megan’s favor on Monday, determining that Gramz—whose real name is Milagro Cooper—defamed and harassed the rapper through online attacks and false claims. Jurors initially awarded Megan $75,000 in damages, which U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga later adjusted to $59,000.
In her lawsuit, Megan (real name Megan Pete) accused Cooper of acting as a “mouthpiece,” “puppet,” and “paid surrogate” for Tory Lanez throughout the highly publicized shooting case. The jury also found that Cooper intentionally encouraged her followers on X and Instagram to spread and view a sexually explicit deepfake video of Megan that had circulated online.
The case stems from the July 15, 2020 incident in Los Angeles, when Lanez shot Megan in the foot after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s home. Lanez—born Daystar Peterson—was later convicted by a Los Angeles jury on December 23, 2022, of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Megan’s legal win further solidifies her stance against online harassment and misinformation as she continues to rebuild her career and personal peace following the shooting and the years-long public scrutiny that followed.
A jury has found Milagro LIABLE for defaming Megan Thee Stallion, intentionally inflicting emotional distress by coordinating with Tory Lanez and for promoting the deep fake video.
