Jay-Z has remained active in the music industry with his Roc Nation music label and partnership with the NFL’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. But it has been years since he has produced any new music of his own. But according to one of his close associates, Memphis Bleek, that could all change very soon.
Memphis Bleek Hints at Jay-Z Dropping a New Album
Jay-Z surprised everyone when his wife Beyoncé brought him out as a surprise performer during the Cowboy Carter tour in Las Vegas. During a recent appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, Memphis Bleek revealed that he was actually with HOV on the night he came out on stage. And while he was with Jay-Z, he nudged him about him working on a new project and wanting to be featured on it. During that conversation, Bleek revealed that Jay-Z all but confirmed he was working on a new project. And said that he would save a verse for him.
“I was just with him in Las Vegas,” Bleek said. “He came out for the [Cowboy Carter] show and my n***a they went stupid. And I said ‘Listen, I know you’re working, save me a verse,’ and he was like, ‘I got you.’”

Fans on social media could not contain their excitement about a potential new HOV album.
“We all knew that n***a was workin, he been too active this year lol glad Bleek confirmed it,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah, he’s been outside signing autographs and being on stage. I think he’s getting ready for something…telling folks to get ready,” another user added.
“I knew all this good rapping would get his ass to come out. N***a too competitive. This is about to be the best year for hip-hop since like ’96, ’97,” a third person said.
It has been nearly a decade since Jay-Z dropped a new album. His last project, 4:44, dropped in June 2017. A new album has yet to be confirmed by the Roc Nation boss. But with his recent appearances on the Cowboy Carter tour, new music could be in the works.
