Memphis Bleek was the most recent guest on rap artist Jim Jones’ new podcast Artist 2 Artist. During Bleek’s appearance on the platform, G-Unit member Tony Yayo became a target of their criticism after the recent comments that he made about Jay-Z.
Jim Jones & Memphis Bleek Blast Tony Yayo
During a recent appearance on Drink Champs, Yayo called out Jay-Z for not taking care of his former artists, such as Bleek, in the same way that G-Unit founder 50 Cent takes care of his people.
In response, Bleek set the record straight and affirmed that he does not need Jay-Z’s assistance. Because he has his own platform and his own motion.
“I saw something Tony Yayo said, Hov don’t look out for me like 50 look out for him. I just want to clear that up, Hov doesn’t have to,” Bleek said to Jones. “I’m chewing a lot on my own. If Hov look out, I’m telling you, I’ll be up there. So when y’all see me out here, that’s the Blizzo budget. I just want to let n***as know Hov don’t have to.”
He also added: “These n****s worrying about who’s taking care of who. We lit. We’re getting money.”
That’s when Jim Jones chimed in and echoed a similar sentiment. He noted that people don’t always “understand the business” that Bleek is involved in, but confirmed that he is out here “making moves.”
“People look at Bleek and don’t understand the business he’s doing. They always look at Jay like… But Bleek out here making moves,” Jones added.
He also added his own criticism of Yayo — insinuating that he uses hard drugs.
“Yayo smoke hard coke, ya heard me. You look like you need to be taken care of. Go to the dentist, brush your teeth, get some hygiene, n***a,” Jones added. “You look like you need help. Tell your man 50 to send you an ounce or something. I got a G for every bump on your face.”
