Jay-Z continues to be a topic of controversy in 2025. Amid Kanye West’s one-sided beef with him, the Roc Nation founder has also received heavy criticism from Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
Bleek Warns Wayne Minaj Amid Jay-Z Beef
Weezy and the Queen Barb took issue with Hov after the recent controversy surrounding the 2025 Superbowl Halftime Show. Amid their repeated jabs at the rap legend, one of Jay-Z’s close associates, Memphis Bleek, warned Nicki and Weezy. Noting that their criticism won’t benefit them in the long run
“Why? If they fire us, they don’t need no more n*****s,” Bleek said in an interview with TMZ. “So, when we did, you ain’t gone’ be able to get that bag. Chill out. We are cleaning up, baby girl. You should come clean up with us.”
Bleek’s statement appeared to be in response to Minaj’s verse on the Banned From NO Remix.
“NFL fire n****s then they call us,” she raps on the bonus track from Wayne’s recently released Tha Carter 6, album.
However, Bleek also said he holds no ill will toward the femcee. “I love Nicki Minaj,” he added. “I have no harsh words for the Queen of rap.”
Wayne also took Jabs at the “Blueprint” creator on his new album.
On one of the songs on the project, titled Flex Up Wayne seems to also aim at Hov.
“I just talked to Hov and he told me he saw me. Funny, I heard the same thing from Stevie [Wonder],” he raps in the song seemingly accusing Jay-Z of lying.
Bleek also had a warning for Wayne.
“It would be best if you stop digging your own hole,” Bleek added. “Antagonizing and mentioning stuff… Let them come to you. The more you want something, the more it runs from you.”
For those tardy to the party, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has a partnership with the NFL where they select the performer for the annual Super Bowl Halftime Show.
With this year’s event taking place in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, Lil Wayne was expecting to be chosen as the performer for the halftime show.
But he wasn’t selected. Instead, it was Kendrick Lamar, who had the biggest hit of the year Not Like Us. Ironically, the song is aimed at former Young Money member, Drake.
