Lil Durk still has one more hurdle clear. After days of deliberation, the jury found Lil Durk not guilty of all charges against him. These included conspiracy to commit stalking, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, stalking involving a weapon, stalking resulting in death, and use of facilities to commit murder. If he was convicted of these charges, he faced life in prison.

However, the work is not done, as Durk still has an upcoming VICAR trial which has been delayed to next year. Prosecutors filed a motion to delay the trial, which Judge Fitzgerald, who’s presiding over the case. It will now happen August 30th, 2027.

However, there’s a chance Durk could await that trial in the comfort of his own home. He has a bond hearing on November 4th to determine if this is possible, while also reportedly willing to put up his royalties to secure his release.

In addition, several prominent names such as J. Cole and JAY-Z have written letters vouching for Durk’s character to the judge presiding.

Now, a new name is defending Durk, fashion tycoon, Michael Rubin.

“I first met Durk through my work with the REFORM Alliance, an organization dedicated to transforming the probation and parole system and creating opportunities for people who deserve a second chance,” Rubin wrote. “Through our interactions, I have come to know a man who places tremendous importance on his family and his ability to make a positive impact on the lives of others. When we launched the REFORM Alliance, Durk was among the artists who stepped forward to support our mission.”

Rubin continued.

“He performed at our inaugural event, which raised more than $20 million to help people less fortunate than him be able to return to their families and rehabilitate their lives through an organization that is rethinking antiquated probation restrictions. His willingness to lend his voice and platform to an issue affecting so many individuals and families demonstrated an understanding that success carries with it a responsibility to help create opportunities for others.”

Durk will get a chance to possibly come home for the first time in several years at his bond hearing on November 4th.
