The Game has been busy at work trying to finish his new album, but still has time to play tricks on the internet. According to a now-deleted story update, The Game claimed his truck was shot at on Wednesday night (April 1).
Who Fell For The April Fool’s Day Prank?
On Wednesday night, The Game posted an Instagram story claiming he had been shot at.
“To the [ninja emoji]’s that just shot at my truck, I hope ya homie bleed out on the way to the hospital b****.”
Social media pages such as No Jumper, The Shade Room, Poetikflakko, The Jasmine Brand, and Kollege Kidd posted screenshots, while media outlets such as HotNewHipHop reported on it.
The Instagram story went up on the tail end of April Fool’s Day and subsequently deleted soon after.
However, responding to The Shade Room’s post on the matter, The Game revealed it was all a hoax.
“People dumb as sh!t… was clearly April fools day,” The Game commented.
Fan reaction was split between admitting they got got, and being upset at the severity of his prank.
“Now J!!!! That wasn’t a nice JOKE,” said one user. “Wow that was “creative” my heart dropped for a sec,” said another user. “grown man doing April’s fools but not paying ppl back 2026 for ya,” said another user.
What Has The Game Been Up To?
The Game has been making news consistently leading up to the release of his new album. Yesterday, he asked fans to help him finish the album with “one beat.”
“I feel like I’m one song away from finishing it,” The Game said. “It’s such an amazing album. It’s some of my best work, but it’s just missing something, just missing one beat.”
You can catch The Game as part of Lil Wayne’s 20 Years Of Carter Classics tour this summer.
