Grammy-winning R&B vet Mya is set to drop her 10th studio album Retrospect via her Planet 9 imprint, and she’s begun to build momentum with the pre-order launch, cover art reveal, and a funk-heavy video for “Just A Little Bit” featuring Too $hort.

Inspired by late ’70s and early ’80s Minneapolis funk, the album blends vintage synth vibes with the R&B and soul Mýa grew up on. She says the project is meant to tap into a more feel-good, nostalgic era of music rooted in real instrumentation and joy.
The campaign kicked off earlier this year with lead single “ASAP,” which has gone on to the Top 20 on Adult R&B Airplay and later got a boost from a remix with 21 Savage.
The album also pulls in a stacked lineup featuring names like Snoop Dogg and Joyner Lucas, bridging generations of hip-hop and R&B.
On top of that, Mya is hitting the road this summer as a special guest on the Pussycat Dolls’ PCD Forever Tour, alongside Lil’ Kim.
“It’s going to be a fun, hot summer,” Mya said of the run.
