Gucci Mane’s ongoing drama with rap star Pooh Shiesty has taken the industry by storm. And Mysonne is the latest to speak out about the saga.
Mysonne Calls Out Gucci Mane
In a recent social media post, Mysonne references the viral moment during Gucci Mane and Jeezy’s 2020 Versuz. The song where Guwop references the death of Jeezy’s longtime friend Pookie Loc. And how he was perceived as a “gangsta” for rehashing their beef. But amid Gucci’s ongoing case with Pooh Shiesty, Mysonna says that it was all a lie.
“THIS MOMENT MEANS SO MUCH MORE TO ME NOW!!,” Mysonne said in a social media post. “I remember watching this and thinking to myself, a grown man was in the room with a kid!! Y’all celebrated Gucci “Street” “Gangsta” behavior said Jeezy was soft etc.. There was nothing further from the truth!”
Instead of engaging with Gucci Mane, Jeezy brushed the entire song off. And instead gave a monologue on how much he has grown since their past beef. And use that to lead into his performance of his hit record “Get Ya Mind Right.” Mysonne saluted Jeezy for showing how much he had evolved in that moment.
“Jeezy had evolved and understood the realities of this moment. He understood the importance of how he responded and what the culture NEEDED!! He showed he no longer needed validation from the streets!,” Mysonne continued. “Gucci advocated that it had to be street attempting to get Jeezy to be “ A Crash Dummy” (how ironic 😩) but he stood in front of the world and showed he was a grown, evolved man that couldn’t and wouldn’t be tricked out of his spot! Salute @jeezy!”
Gucci Mane was allegedly held at gunpoint by Pooh Shiesty during an armed robbery back in January. Police documents say that Gucci Mane cooperated with the authorities to help identify Pooh Shiesty.
Mysonne says that Gucci’s current situation is an example of reaping what you sow.
“The same energy you put in the universe , the universe will return to you. Gucci has and still presents and advocates for the streets and y’all have embraced him and celebrated him for it, but when it was time to be Street he became a civilian! He became a law-abiding citizen and a businessman!” He said. “The moral of the story is that everybody is a street gangsta until they’re actually in the room with one! The Streets is dead , there’s no code, and snitching/ telling is now a way of life. Young Kings stop believing these dudes it’s all smoking mirrors, it’s all entertainment Real ain’t real no more! Don’t let them trick you Stay on the sidewalk! #🚫CowardCulture”
