Drake has come under heavy scrutiny as a result of his 2024 rap feud with Kendrick Lamar. But even as he suffers through the after-effects of their beef, Drake has remained a topic of discussion. And he seems to have gained an ally in NBA star guard, Kyrie Irving.
Kyrie Irving Comes to Drake’s Defense Amid Kendrick Feud
During a recent stream, the 2016 NBA Champion broke his silence about the 2024 feud between the two rap stars. Irving says that in the aftermath of the battle, the two Grammy winners should not continue to be compared to each other.

Drizzy’s Sour Feelings Toward NBA Stars
Drake’s relationship with NBA stars over Kendrick’s Not Like Us has soured. At one point he had a close-knit relationship with LeBron James. However, last year, fans did some digging and realized that the Hot Line Bling artist was no longer following the Lakers star on social media.
The Lakers star was among several celebrities in attendance at Kendrick’s Popout Concert last June, where he infamously played the Drake diss track six times in a row. Cameras caught LeBron dancing to the song and Drake appears to have taken in personally.
During a stop on his Anita Wynn Maxx tour in February, Drake also took a dig at Sacramento Kings star DeMar DeRozan, who was also at the concert. During the show, one fan seated in the lower bowl near the stage handed Drake a replica DeRozan Toronto Raptors jersey. Upon realizing he was holding DeMar’s jersey, Drizzy spiked the jersey on the stadium floor.
