NBA Youngboy Pardoned By President Trump

Youngboy was released earlier this year, however, his release was conditional. But that is no longer the case after his sentence was pardoned by President Donald Trump on Wednesday, May 28.

Following his pardon, Youngboy expressed his gratitude toward President Trump.

“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building. As a man, as a father, and as an artist. This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this,” he said in a statement via Newsweek.

“Big thanks to the Pardon Czar, Ms. Alice Marie Johnson, for fighting for second chances for so many people, and to my lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, for being in my corner and all your hard work to make this possible. And thank you to everyone who believed in me.”

NBA Youngboy shares a son, KJ, with Yaya Mayweather. Yaya is the daughter of former boxing world champ, Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is no stranger to controversy, as he has been in the midst of it several times on his rise to stardom.

Floyd previously mentioned that since Youngboy became a part of the Mayweather family, he has made an effort to become a mentor to him.

“Well, that’s the ultimate goal! The ultimate goal is to always put your loved ones, your family members, in a position to grow and that’s what it’s about,” the former boxing champ said.

“Me and NBA YoungBoy speak on a regular, speak on the daily. I’m very happy for his career and proud of him. And eventually, he’s gonna grow like anybody that’s young.”
