Rap star NBA Youngboy has never been short on confidence. And he recently said that he believes he can go up against one of the biggest hitmakers in hip-hop.

NBA Youngboy Believes He Can Beat Future in A Verzuz

Youngboy recently issued a Verzuz challenge to the entire rap industry. But it was a high-risk challenge. Because the loser has to give up their rap career.

“Tell your favorite, let’s go 15 songs each. Loser never raps again,” the rap star wrote in a recent social media post.

One fan in the comments section suggested that Atlanta rap star Future was one of the only artists who could compete with Youngboy’s catalog. But he quickly shut down that notion.

“You smoke more dope than me,” the rapper responded.

However, users on social media did not seem to agree with the rapper’s statement.

“Future has 15 classics from DS2 alone. YB just has 1,500 songs that all sound exactly the same,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Future has been in the game waaaay longer with way more hits! But I do enjoy NBA young boy as well,” another user added.

Youngboy does indeed have one of the more extensive catalogs in hip-hop today. Songs like Make No Sense, Right Foot Creep, and Untouchable are still getting spins today.

But it’s not cliché to say that Future has one of the most iconic music catalogs in the history of rap. His mixtape catalog alone would be tough to beat.

In addition, coming out victorious in a Verzuz isn’t just based on an artist’s music catalog. The crowd responses are equally important. And Thug has put out anthem after anthem over the past decade. What songs could Youngboy pull out to rival a song like March Madness or Tony Montana?

Either way, it would be an entertaining matchup. Who do you think would come out victorious?
