Hip hop’s favorite on-again couple is officially on—and now they’re bringing their story to the small screen. After reconnecting a couple years back and welcoming their first child in 2024, Nelly and Ashanti are giving fans a front-row seat to their relationship with a brand new reality series, Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together. The eight-episode show premieres June 26 on Peacock and promises a raw, unfiltered look at their love, family life, and everything in between.

In the trailer, which dropped June 12, the couple wastes no time getting real about their history. “We were together off and on for 11 years, before the final [sic]..” Ashanti says, before Nelly cuts in with: “I hated her.”
She doesn’t let that slide. “I hated him. I didn’t think we’d ever get back together,” she claps back.
But spoiler alert—they did. “She got me y’all!” Nelly says with a grin.
And things are moving fast. Not only did they secretly get married in 2023, but they also welcomed their first son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, last July. Now, the couple is expecting baby number two—and Ashanti says she’s excited to show that side of their journey on the show too.
Both Nelly and Ashanti are executive producers on the series, so don’t expect any scripted fluff—this is their real life, from the highs to the hurdles.
