New Jersey authorities have charged 15 people in the takedown of an alleged violent Trenton street gang accused of bragging about murders in rap videos. Attorney General Jennifer Davenport announced a 50-count indictment against members of the “OutSouf” gang, who prosecutors say operated out of South Trenton between February 2023 and June 2025. The group faces charges including murder, attempted murder, racketeering, robbery and carjacking.
Justice Chambers, 25, is identified as the alleged leader and faces multiple counts including murder and leading a criminal organization. All 15 defendants have been arrested, with 13 currently detained pending trial.
Prosecutors say the gang carried out retaliatory attacks following the April 2023 death of high-ranking member Jhosse Tolentino. Authorities say members used stolen or re-tagged vehicles, shared firearms and later publicized the violence on social media and in rap videos.
In addition to members of rival gang “H-Block” on April 9, 2024, OutSouf rappers allegedly took credit for the Aug. 19, 2023 shooting of Taquan Fox, the Sept. 16, 2023 shooting of Balil Lewis, and two additional aggravated assaults.
