Nicki Minaj Doubles Down on Don Lemon Criticism
However, despite the backlash that she has received, the Pinkprint creator is not backing down from her stance.
“LOL!!! And I purposely wrote it that way b/c I knew that would be the only way to get the co** su**as to post about it. They would’ve all collectively ignored the despicable behavior displayed by Lemonhead. I’m glad they’re angry. They’re about to get angrier,” she wrote in a social media post on Tuesday (January 20).

Minaj took issue with the former CNN anchor after he confronted a Minnesota pastor over a group of his church members leading an anti-ICE protest. Calling him a “co** suck**,” which many perceived to be homophobic.
Minaj continued to receive a firestorm of backlash in the comments section of her post.
“You had a chance to go down as one of the greatest to ever do it. This is a sad ending to what should’ve been an unimpeachable, legendary career,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“It’s wild watching a female rapper go full-blown repubtard. Crazy what getting dethroned by Cardi and Meg will do to you,” a second user added.
“It’s been fun watching your career fall off a cliff,” a third user chimed in
Lemon also addressed the pop star on social media after catching wind of her comments.
“Nicki Minaj, get a life. Stop being a ‘pick me.’ You should have put a pick-me doll on that damn tweet instead of a Chucky doll, because you are nothing but a pick-me,” he said (via The New York Post). “And I pick. I choose not to pick you. And so should black people, and so should gay people. [They] shouldn’t buy your music. Clock that.”
