Rap star Nicki Minaj is in hot water over an unpaid six-figure tab, according to a recent report from TMZ.
Nicki Minaj in Hot Water Over $275K Bill
On Monday (March 23), the outlet reported that Minaj is being taken to court. Over a $275K bill from her 2024 Pink Friday 2 tour and performance at Jingle Ball.
A company named 24/7 Productions is suing the rap star and her production company, Pink Friday Productions. They are claiming that they fronted Minaj and her team services that they were never compensated for.
24/7 says that budgets were provided to the Starships creator’s team in advance. For their assistance with her concerts at Jingle Ball and her album launch for Pink Friday 2. And they were given “advance planning, on-site management, staffing, audio, lighting, rigging, ground transportation, and overall logistics.”
Nicki and her team were paid $650,000 for her performance at Jingle Ball alone, and 24/7 never received their payment.
The Pink Friday 2 Tour is the highest-grossing female rap tour in history. It generated $108.8 million from 70 shows and 787,000 tickets sold. The tour also marked the first time that a female rapper has surpassed $100 million in a single tour.
At the time of writing, Nicki Minaj has not responded to TMZ’s report.
After a long layoff, Minaj was set to drop an album in March of this year. However, she claims to be in a dispute with her label over a new deal. So the project has been postponed indefinitely.
