Mackwop Sends Strong Warning to Nicki Minaj
The latest person to insert themselves in SZA and Minaj’s feud is Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) affiliate MackWop. After catching wind of the brewing beef between Minaj and the Grammy winner, MackWop took to social media to send a warning to the Pink Friday creator. Noting that if she isn’t careful, she could end up like her former Young Money co-star, Drake.
“Nicki, relax,” he said, Live Bitez. “Relax before you get put in the blender like your boy [Drake] did.”
“These days ain’t those days, respectfully,” he continued. “I ain’t gonna say nothing bad about Nicki,” he continued. “She’s dope. I’mma just chill, peep the scene, ’cause it’s all news to me right now. It is all news to me right now.”
Mackwop appeared to be referencing Drake’s 2024 feud with another TDE artist, Kendrick Lamar. Lamar and Drake traded jabs last summer. But after Kendrick dropped his iconic song, Not Like Us, which became a global phenomenon, he was declared the victor.
Nicki and SZA began beef after the TDE executive posted a post referencing a new song the label has on the way, titled Broken Barbiez. However, given the rocky history between TDE and Young Money artists, Minaj perceived it to be a shot at her. And began sending off a firestorm of negative tweets aimed at Punch.
Amid Nicki and Punch’s beef, SZA made a cryptic tweet encouraging people not to take the “bait” because Mercury was in retrograde. And Minaj fired off a series of Tweets aimed at SZA.
However, SZA shrugged Nicki’s latest social media rant as “goofy” and did not give it much attention. However, Nicki has continued to shade the Grammy-winner.
