Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are in the middle of a heated rap beef. But other people have also caught strays in the process. And during the two femcees’ heated war of words on social media on Tuesday Night (September 30), Jay-Z got dragged into the middle of things.
Nicki Minaj Reignites Jay-Z Feud Amid Cardi B Beef
In one of her tweets, Minaj posted an AI-generated picture of Jay-Z wearing a pink wig.

This seemed to be a parody of one of Cardi B’s tweets aimed at the rap star. In a previous tweet from the Bronx femcee, she posted a photo of Minaj’s brother, Jelani Minaj, wearing a similar wig. To bring things up to speed, Maraj was sentenced to 25 years in prison in January 2020 for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
In other tweets, she also refers to Roc Nation as “RICO Nation” and also implores Jay-Z to “take off that f*****g lacefront”
She also insinuates that Jay-Z and his label are orchestrating Cardi B’s attacks on her. And implores them to tell her to “stand down.”
Minaj & Cardi’s Beef Explained
Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s beef has been ongoing for years. It started with a dispute over Migos’ song “Motor Sport.” Cardi and Nicki are both featured on the song, and she alleges that Nicki changed the verse where she spits “If Cardi the QB im Nicki Lombardi,” which Cardi took as a slight from the Queen Barb.
But things came to a head after Cardi saw Minaj like and unlike a social media post. One that criticized the Bronx emcees’ parenting skills. Things got heated when both of the rap stars showed up to a Harper’s Bazaar party during New York Fashion Week in 2018. Although Cardi and Nicki never actually came to fisticuffs, it was a pretty bizarre scene. Both artists were screaming unpleasantries at each other from across the room as they were being restrained. It was also one of the most memorable events on social media. Because Cardi would post 16-some-odd videos days later, explaining the events leading up to her and Minaj’s altercation.
Seven years later, their feelings toward each other are just as bitter.
