Nicki Minaj’s sister, Ming Li, recently appeared on Adam 22’s No Jumper podcast. One of the things she addressed was he strained relationship with the rap star.
Nicki Minaj’s Sister Addresses Their Strained Relationship
Adam 22 grilled her about why she and Minaj are currently estranged. And Ming attributed it to her talking about her sister in the past. Noting that Minaj prefers to keep her personal life private. Ming also says that she respects her decision.
“She probably got mad because she didn’t want me to basically talk about her and stuff like that, which I do 100% respect,” she said (via Hot97).
She also went on to say that now that she has become a public figure, her ties to Minaj are well known. And that sometimes talking about her is going to come with the territory.
Adam 22 went on to suggest that Minaj’s reaction to her sister came off as “sensitive”; however, Ming did not seem to agree. She defended her sister’s mannerisms. And said that it is not on others to judge her, especially because they don’t know what she has been through.
“We don’t know what the fck that woman has been through,” Li added. “She’s been through so much since a young age. I could understand her reaction with people sometimes. It has to be at a distance level because not everyone is very genuine.”
At the time of writing, Minaj has not responded to Ming Li.
