Netflix’s new Diddy Documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is already causing quite the stir. Several shocking revelations have come as a result of the new production.
Biggie’s Estate Responds to Diddy Allegations in Netflix Doc
One of the more shocking revelations was regarding the death of Diddy’s best friend, rap star, the Notorious B.I.G., Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burrowes alleged that he made the rapper pay for his own funeral.
However, Biggie’s estate manager, Wayne Barrow, relayed a message through Loren Lorosa of The Breakfast Club, who says that those allegations are “completely not true.”
“Here’s this allegation from the documentary that Diddy used Biggie’s record label deal or his own money to pay for Biggie’s funeral,” Lorosa said on Thursday (December 4). “So Wayne tells me that it is completely not true, that he himself officiated the funeral and planned it along with Kirk Burrowes.”

During the film, Burrowes alleged that Diddy initially offered to pay for Smalls’ funeral. However, he changed course once he realized the cost. So instead, he made the rap star pay for his own funeral. By making it a recoupable charge for Bad Boy.
The Bad Boy Records co-founder also alleged that before Biggie’s passing, he was in the middle of a contractual negotiation with the label. Insinuating that could have played a role in his untimely death. However, the rapper’s estate says that information is also untrue.
“He says that is completely not true as well. He says that Life After Death was already done, so no contract negotiations were happening,” Lorosa added.
There have been several disputes regarding the release of the film this month. Starting with the exclusive footage of the music mogul in the film. Diddy and his legal team have cited that footage of the statement he made in the days leading up to his arrest was illegally obtained. And have filed a cease for the film to be removed from the platform.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning is now streaming on Netflix.
