Offset ’s life offstage has developed into a rather tumultuous saga — and not the kind anyone would want to headline their album. Now, the Atlanta native is facing more than $2.3 million in unpaid taxes, with the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue filing multiple liens against him. The most recent came October 15, claiming he owes $486,426 for 2023 — the year before his split from Cardi B.
It’s not just a one-off. Earlier liens hit him for $1.57 million in 2022 taxes and nearly $292,000 for 2021, with penalties and interest stacking the bills higher. Now, Offset is officially in six-figure territory — and the government isn’t letting up anytime soon.
His legal headaches aren’t just limited to taxes. Offset is still fighting a $232,000 judgment over a 2021 Florida strip club incident, where two men allege he attacked them after someone sprayed Cardi with champagne. The case, which landed a default judgment against him, is set for a hearing in February 2026.
Through it all, Cardi B hasn’t been shy about airing her frustrations. Back in September, she opened up on X, framing her divorce as less about heartbreak and more about financial warfare. “The only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,” she said. “I’m fighting for that. This is not no love s***.” Cardi’s words read like a verse from one of her hits — blunt, unapologetic, and dripping with attitude.
The couple’s divorce, filed in July 2024 after seven years of marriage, has sparked rumors of a multimillion-dollar settlement, possibly favoring Offset with a 70/30 split. Neither has confirmed the details, but in the court of public opinion, the story is already playing like a headline track.
As Offset navigates liens, lawsuits, and public scrutiny, the drama between him and Cardi B continues to dominate both headlines and hip hop culture conversations.
