The Migos were one of the biggest rap groups of all time. Hit songs like Handsome & Wealthy, Bad & Boujee, and Call Casting helped catapult the rap stars to superstardom. And eventually, as one of hip-hop’s biggest rap groups ever. However, the untimely death of one of the group’s members, Takeoff, spelled the end of the group as fans came to know it.
Offset Says Joint Album With Quavo is ‘Possible’
Since Takeoff’s passing, Quavo and Offset have carved out solo careers for themselves. And although the Migos may be a thing of the past, Offset says that fans shouldn’t rule out the possibility of he and Quavo reuniting in the studio one day.
“It’s possible. No conversations about that, though, but it’s possible,” Offset said in a new interview with Apple Music. “First, we’re just checking in with each other and see each other’s worlds: ‘You good?’”
Following Takeoff’s passing, there was reported friction between Quavo and Offset, which led to them becoming estranged friends. Offset took accountability for the role that he played in that.
“I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen — I had to,” he added. “But at first I didn’t. I was trying to act tough and like I didn’t give a fuck at first. But the actions that I did in the time I was acting that way, I realized I was wrong. I realized I was wrong and had to get out of the way. I’m happy with everything and I want the best.”
This isn’t the first time that Offset has spoken about his and Quavo’s relationship as of late. During a recent interview on 7 PM in Brooklyn, He gave an update on the current state of their relationship. During that interview, Offset noted that no matter what issues he and Quavo may have, they remain family. And will always have each other’s backs.
“It’s the internet trying to do some old sh*t, but with us, it ain’t about that,” he explained, per Uproxx. “We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. In the day, a n**** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me.”
