Offset Trashes Stefon Diggs After Lackluster First Game
Week 1 of the NFL season kicked off on Sunday (September 7). And while it may have been an exciting time for many NFL fans, it was a day that Diggs wants to put behind him. As the New England Patriots took an L in the first game of the season.
Apparently tuned in to watch Diggs’ first game of the season as her appeared to take shots at his performance in a social media post.
He simply wrote: “Trash” with a laughing emoji on his Instagram story once the game had ended.
Pats Star Talks Return From Injury
In his debut for the New England Patriots, Diggs had a lackluster performance. The star wide receiver had just six catches for 57 yards and no touchdowns as the Patriots fell to the Las Vegas Raiders 20-13.
After a 0-1 start, Diggs talked about how their first loss can be a learning experience for him and his new team.
“Obviously, falling short is not ideal, but it’s a lot to learn from,” Diggs told reporters. “It’s just the first game, and I feel like we are a good team. We have to earn the right to win every week. We did not win this week; 24-hour rule, flush it, get back to work. We already know what happened out there as far as what we did not do right. So get back in the lab, correct it, and try to get back on track.”
Diggs is returning from a torn ACL that he suffered last season with the Houston Texans. When asked about seeing his first real action since the injury, Diggs described his performance as “decent.”
“It was my first game back, I was just happy to be back,” he said of his performance. “It was a lot of plays out there, we got a lot of players too. So, doing my job is important to me, and I am continuing to do that.”
