Pete Bowditch, one half of the viral UK rap duo Pete & Bas, left fans concerned after passing out mid-performance while hanging from the ceiling during a show in Chicago.
Video circulating online shows the rapper performing in a harness above the stage before suddenly going limp—his head dropping, arms falling, and mic crashing to the floor as the crowd watched in disbelief. Meanwhile, dancers below kept the routine going as he hung just feet above them.
Thankfully, Bowditch and his partner Basil Bellgrave later reassured fans that he’s okay. Their team confirmed he’s now in stable condition, apologized for the incident, and announced refunds for ticket holders. European tour dates are still set to continue.
Pete & Bas—who blew up in 2017 with their viral hit “Shut Ya Mouth”—have built a massive following over the years and even linked up with T-Pain.
