Peter Rosenberg is pushing back after N.O.R.E. praised The Kid Mero’s new morning show on Hot 97.
In January, Mero was named as the station’s new morning show host, following the cancellation of Ebro Darden, Laura Styles and Rosenberg’s previous show.
During a recent visit to the station, N.O.R.E. said New York radio finally “sounds like New York again,” applauding Mero’s new gig — a comment many took as a subtle shot at the previous show hosted by Peter Rosenberg, Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez.

Rosenberg fired back on X, saying people he respects — including N.O.R.E. — keep throwing “subtle shots,” calling the criticism “bonkers.”
He also defended his New York roots, noting his father is from Brooklyn and that he moved to the city in 2007, built a life there, and championed underground rap on the radio.
