Playboi Carti may be gearing up to drop another project this year—just months after his latest album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

The update came from producer and longtime collaborator F1LTHY, who jumped on X to quash some fan talk about BABY BOI being scrapped or renamed. Shutting down the rumor, F1LTHY wrote, “Album already finished. Watch this.” He doubled down, adding, “S—t already done. We still pushing. I am tho.”
DJ Swamp Izzo had also hinted at BABY BOI’s release weeks earlier in an interview with Complex.
MUSIC, Carti’s first solo drop in over four years, hit streaming back in March after a long and unpredictable rollout. First teased in 2021, the album went through several changes before finally arriving—but it was worth the wait. Loaded with energy and chaos, MUSIC brought in heavyweight features from Future, Ty Dolla Sign, Young Thug, and Kendrick Lamar, and earned Carti yet another No. 1 spot.
While Carti and his team haven’t officially confirmed BABY BOI, his early campaign suggests the project could be released soon.
The Atlanta native made waves on release day by sharing a screenshot of I AM MUSIC charting across Apple Music, tagging it with “BABY BOI OTW.” He kept the momentum going with a post on his alternate Instagram, writing, “CONGRATS LETS CONTINUE DIS LIL RUN WE GOT I GOT ANOTHER CLIP READY.”
If everything lines up, fans could be getting another Carti era before the year’s out—and the next chapter might be even wilder.
