Kendrick Lamar entered enemy territory this past weekend. He invaded Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Canada, along with SZA as part of the Grand National tour on June 12 and 13. This was his first performance in Toronto since he and Drake’s feud.
Drake Exchanges Words With Toronto Politician
Drizzy appeared to be unbothered. He remained mum about Kendrick’s show — at least publicly.
However, Toronto politician, Jagmeet Singh revealed a private message between him and Drake. And the rap star calls Signh a “goof”
This appeared to be in response to the former New Democratic Party leader attending one of Kendrick’s performances in Toronto.
After seeing Drake’s message Singh quickly took to social media to apologize for his attendance.
“I went for SZA, not Kendrick. I was born in this city, I love this city. But real talk, I get it, I shouldn’t have gone at all,” he wrote on his Instagram story on June 15.
“OVO and Drake have lifted up this city and [Canadian flag emoji]. For me, it’ll always be Drake over Kendrick.”
After seeing Singh’s apology fans sounded off on social media.
“Lmao. Kendrick stans thought they had one,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Big dawg s**t fr. My goat ya’ll,” another fan added.
“Drake has politicians apologizing,” another fan said.
Drake wasn’t in attendance at the concert. However, on opening night, he was scheduled to stream with popular influencer Kai Cenat.
Drizzy and Cenat were scheduled to give away $300k during the steam. Where fans submitted videos for the “Somebody Who Loves Me” challenge and Cenat and Drizzy selected the winners.
However, the stream was postponed on the night they were scheduled to go live. Cenat cited an overwhelming number of submissions as the reason.
