Rap Star Pooh Shiesty is back in Police Custody.
TMZ confirmed that the rap star, born Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., was arrested in a report on Thursday (April 2).
Pooh Shiesty Arrested on Federal Charges
According to the outlet, the FBI raided the Memphis rapper’s home on Wednesday (April 1) in connection with a federal criminal case.
“This week, nine individuals, including well-known musical artists, kidnapped and robbed multiple individuals at a music studio in Dallas, Texas. Eight of the nine were arrested in Dallas, Memphis, and Nashville.
Among the nine arrested were Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Denell Williams Jr, and rap artist Big 30.
Following Shiesty’s arrest, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Rabel held a press conference to address the situation.
Rabel says that the feds allege that Shiesty arranged a meeting, reportedly to discuss the terms of his deal with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. Once he was inside the studio, the rapper “executed an armed takeover,” and ordered one of the victims (presumed to be Gucci Mane) to “sign the release of his contract.”
In October 2024, Gucci Mane announced that he had released all of his artists from 1017. Except Shiesty and Foogiano, who were both in prison at the time
The other assailants reportedly robbed other victims of items such as “Rolex watches, jewelry, and cash.”

Pooh Shiesty was previously jailed for a federal firearms conspiracy conviction. This was derived from a plethora of incidents involving drug trafficking and violent crimes, including a 2020 shooting where he and others assaulted victims to steal marijuana, codeine, and sneakers.
He pleaded guilty in January 2022 and was sentenced to over five years in prison. However, he was released last October, and credited with time served and good behaviour.
At the time of writing, Gucci Mane has not spoken out about Pooh Shiesty’s arrest.
