Contrary to widespread reports circulating online, Pooh Shiesty has not been arrested.
Rumors began spreading late last week claiming the Memphis rapper had been taken into custody following a drug raid. The speculation intensified after fans misinterpreted comments made on a BenDaDonnn livestream and screenshots from the Federal Inmate Locator showing Shiesty listed at Dallas RRM.
However, those reports were inaccurate. RRM stands for Residential Reentry Management, a federal program that oversees halfway houses for individuals transitioning out of prison. Pooh Shiesty is currently residing at a Dallas halfway house under the RRM program and is scheduled to remain there until May 11. He is not in jail and has not been re-arrested.
Shiesty himself addressed the confusion in an Instagram comment, clarifying what RRM means and pushing back on the rumors. “Can’t tell the internet dumb a*s nothing,” he wrote.
The rapper was released from prison in October after serving more than three years on a federal gun charge. As of now, there is no indication of any new charges or violations, and it remains unclear what initially sparked the false arrest rumors.
