Popular DJ and mixtape host Bigga Rankin has reportedly passed away.
Known for his powerful voice and major influence on Southern hip-hop, Bigga Rankin played an important role in helping artists build momentum through the mixtape circuit. Throughout his career, he hosted thousands of mixtapes featuring artists such as Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Plies, Young Dolph, YFN Lucci, and many others.
His work helped introduce countless records to new audiences and made him one of the most recognizable voices in mixtape culture. Bigga Rankin’s contributions to hip-hop, particularly throughout the South, will continue to be remembered.
