Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was facing life in prison. After being brought up on a myriad of charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking. Diddy was found not guilty of racketeering and trafficking. As it concerned his ex-girlfriend and label artist, Cassie, and Jane Doe. Both of whom testified against him during the trial.
However, Combs was found guilty of prostitution concerning both of the aforementioned parties. He is set to be sentenced on October 3 and faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
Trump ‘Seriously Considering’ Pardon For Diddy
Despite being denied bail on several occasions throughout the legal process, Combs may be free even sooner than most previously assumed. According to a new report from DEADLINE, United States President Donald Trump is considering granting a presidential pardon to the Bad Boy Records founder.
“Donald Trump is heavily weighing giving Sean “Diddy” Combs a full presidential pardon ahead of the convicted Bad Boy Records founder’s sentencing later this year,” the outlet writes.
“Nearly two months after Trump publicly entertained the notion of a Diddy pardon in an Oval Office gaggle, a comprehensive get-out-of-jail card for Combs is being ‘seriously considered,” an administration source tells Deadline.”
This is not the first time that President Trump has discussed a potential pardon for Diddy. During the trial, he was asked about the possibility of Diddy receiving a pardon. And while he didn’t give a concrete answer, he also didn’t rule it out.
“Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it,” Trump said. “I think some people have been very close to asking.”
The topic of an alleged pardon for Diddy has surfaced in light of recent events. Trump recently commuted the sentence of Gangsta Disciples co-founder Larry Hoover and Louisiana rap star NBA Youngboy, who was recently incarcerated over gun charges.
Diddy’s sentencing is scheduled for October 3. It will be interesting to see the outcome.
