Spectacular Smith of Pretty Ricky took to Instagram to share what he described as one of the worst travel experiences he has ever had.
According to Spectacular, his executive assistant booked him on a Southwest Airlines flight departing from Ontario International Airport. He claimed that an employee identified as Erick Edwards refused to allow him to board the flight and slammed the gate door in his face.
Spectacular included a video with his post and criticized the airline’s handling of the situation. He said that when he asked to speak with a supervisor, she allegedly refused to watch the recording and instead questioned why he was filming the encounter.
“Instead of taking accountability, they dismissed my concerns,” Spectacular wrote, calling the customer service “unacceptable” and “incredibly disappointing.”
The singer and entrepreneur said he does not plan to fly with Southwest again and encouraged his followers to tag the airline. He also asked fans to share whether they had experienced similar treatment while traveling with Southwest.
Southwest Airlines has not publicly responded to Spectacular’s allegations at this time.
