Pusha T and Malice also known as the rap group Clipse, are set to drop their first album in 15 years. The upcoming project is titled, Let God Sort ‘Em Out & arrives on July 11.
Amid the rollout of this new album, Pusha T has left no stone unturned— lashing out at several rap artists in the process. Among the rappers that he’s called out is Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Pusha T Gets Honest About His Relationship With Ye
They spat between the former G.O.O.D. Music cohorts may seem like news to those on the outside looking in. But in a recent sit-down with The New York Times’ Popcast, King Pusha says that their falling out had been years in the making.
“I don’t even know if I ever held my tongue. I always spoke about everything. But what you do with that information, in taking advice or perspective from me, that’s what you do. But I don’t regret any of it,” the rap artist said of his relationship with Kanye.
“I mean, we made great music. Outside of music, we’re nothing. Outside of that, his principles, his morals, his mindset — we don’t see eye to eye hardly ever and we never have.”
This is not the first time that the rap star has been overly critical of the Grammy-winner. In a sit-down with GQ in June, Pusha elaborated on his current issues with West. And elaborated that Kanye’s attacks on him are derived from him knowing that Pusha doesn’t respect him “as a man.”
“The one thing that I can say about [Ye] is that he knows that every issue that he’s having and crying about online right now, I’ve told him distinctly about those things. He doesn’t talk to me like he talks to others.”
Push also added: “His intuition is even more genius-level, right? But that’s why I don’t get along because he sees through my fakeness with him. He knows I don’t think he’s a man. He knows it.”
