Queen Latifah has been tapped as the keynote speaker for North Carolina A&T State University’s spring commencement, set for May 9 at First Horizon Coliseum.
Latifah will speak at BOTH ceremonies, celebrating nearly 2,000 undergrads and 350 grad students as they walk across that stage.
This isn’t her first time inspiring grads either — she’s been delivering powerful commencement speeches for years, dating back to her early days at Delaware State University and later stops like Rutgers University–Newark.
With a storied career spanning from hip-hop pioneer to film & television icon, Queen Latifah continues to stamp her place among the pantheon of creative greats — most recently earning the National Medal of the Arts and Kennedy Center Honors.
In May, she’ll be joined by fellow speaker Dr. Nia Danielle Banks, a plastic surgeon and proud A&T alum.
